Our winners for the 2012 Design Ventura competition are Trinity School, Lewisham with their imaginative re-thinking of the humble pin badge. The brief asked them to design a product for the Design Museum shop, responding to the theme of ‘Journeys.’

The Team created badges that show London landmark buildings are designed to worn in sets of three, which you can mix and match with other sets.

Here is their submitted entry:

On the strength of their product, Trinity School were invited to attend the Design Ventura 2012 pitching day, where they presented their idea to the panel of judges.

In February 2013 the team were presented with the top prize at the Celebration Event (see top photo), they then went on to work with design practice Build to develop Pics Pins into a market ready product.

They packaged their product ready for its launch at the Design Museum Shop.

Finally, at the 2013 Celebration Event the team came back and presented a cheque for £914.74, the profits from the sale of their product, to a Daniel Lewi, one of the founders of their chosen charity, CATS Foundation.
